 As we continue to build our Salesian Social Justice Circle and follow up Oz Bosco we prepare for Social Justice Sunday (September 27 th  2009 )

The theme for this years Social Justice Sunday is Young People and justice  The social Justice statement and discussion guide will be released in September and significant parts will be highlighted in future Message Sticks. Hope that you can use this as part of your Social Justice initiatives at your school, parish, youth centre, oratory and camp.

NEWS  from around the States - This month S. A. would like to share some news

Summer camp preparation and leadership formation will begin in ernest this half of the year as the leaders prepare for the annual summer camp for young girls who wouldn't otherwise be able to have a summer break in a great Salesian environment.

The Gawler oratory contiues to flourish and recently had a visit from Sr Margaret Bentley f.m.a provincial of the Salesian sisters who visited  Gawler for Maria Mazzarello house day.

Salesian work with and for Indigenous young people continues in Adelaide, to facilitate access to education and take some steps to Close the Gap. The possibility of  joining a camp with Indigenous young people is being explored for October. Hope to share some social justice news from N.S.W.. and Vic in the following months. - Stay tuned.
